Phase Overview

During this training phase Clinician IIs will focus on providing essential onboarding documentation for credentialing and paneling, particularly for those who are not yet credentialed or paneled. Clinician IIs will be equipped with a general understanding of the School-based Mental Health and Wellness (SBMHW) concept and how it intersects with both healthcare and education systems. Additionally, Clinician IIs will develop a comprehensive grasp of their responsibilities within the SBMHW system, along with understanding the supervisory expectations linked to their role.

Phase Goals/Objections

  1. Provide necessary onboarding documentation for credentialing and paneling if not already credentialed/paneled

  2. Develop understanding of School-based Mental Health and Wellness (SBMHW)

  3. Develop general understanding of the intersection/integration between healthcare and education systems

  4. Develop general understanding of their role in the SBMHW system and supervisory expectations associated with their role

Gather and finalize the required documents listed below. Submit them to the designated Program Analyst for the credentialing process ensuring all necessary paperwork is in order for proper review and approval.

Review School Based Mental Health & Wellness website

Explore the Centers of Wellness website to become familiar with program content and resources. Identify specific topics or site elements that resonate with you. Prepare to share these elements and other insights during SBMHW Orientation.

(if not already SCHC credentialed)

Complete the necessary documents from the Sacramento County Health Center (SCHC) to move forward in the approval process. This is necessary to obtain authorization to provide clinical services and oversight. Timely submission of these documents will help expedite approval.
